Sleep hygiene is important because it can either improve or reduce the quality of sleep you are getting. A few simple tweaks can really improve the amount of sleep you are able to get – whether that is 6 hours or 9 hours.

This list is a holistic approach to improving your nighttime habits and is not a simple one-step solution.

1. Develop a night-time wind down routine

This can include:

-An Epsom salt bath

-Stretching or yoga

-Meditation

-Journaling

-Reading a book

Engaging in this series of behaviors will gradually signal to your body you are getting ready to go to sleep – and these behaviors will also aid in relaxing your mind and body.

2. Block out all light and noise

Darkness acts as a signal to your body it needs to prepare for sleep. If you aren’t able to completely control your circumstances, then things like a sleep mask and earplugs will ensure that you are able to block out as much light and noise as possible.

Alternatively, blackout curtains make a huge difference; also using masking tape to cover any small lights on chargers and cords.

3. Use a filter on electronics

Blue light from electronics can mimic sunlight and throw off our body’s natural circadian rhythm. These kinds of devices can trick our bodies into thinking it is still light outside and we should, therefore, stay awake. Apps like f.lux can be installed to block out the high frequency wavelengths that may interfere with sleep.

4. Be mindful of the temperature in the room

The ideal temperature for sleep is 60-67 degrees Fahrenheit. Keeping the room dark will aid in maintaining a cooler temperature, and a fan can be positioned near the bed as well.

5. Aim to fall asleep and wake up at a similar time each night

Waking up at a similar time will help strengthen your body’s natural circadian rhythm. Our bodies are designed to rise with the sun and sleep when it goes down – and sleeping in on weekends can throw this rhythm off.

The same goes for falling asleep at a similar time. You will find falling asleep will get easier as your body gets used to its new routine.

6. Move your body throughout the day

Being active throughout the day is beneficial for many reasons, but getting your heart rate up during the day may actually increase the length and quality of your sleep. As little as 10 minutes of walking or cycling on a daily basis is enough to reap these benefits when done on a consistent basis.

7. Stop caffeine at 12 pm

Our bodies are designed to have peak energy after waking up in the morning and should gradually drop throughout the day, ending in sleep at night. A stimulant like caffeine will cause an unnatural spike when consumed in the afternoon and may lead to a crash later in the day. Coffee and other stimulants are best when consumed in the first 30 minutes of waking up – when our bodies should be producing peak cortisol for the day!

Try to limit other substances like alcohol or chocolate to 4 hours before bedtime if possible.

8. Write down a to-do list

If you find it hard to fall asleep at night because your mind is racing with all of the things you need to finish tomorrow, take a minute to jot all of your thoughts down. Having a place to keep all of these thoughts is helpful because you won’t have to stress or worry about forgetting something – all of those thoughts will be waiting for you in the morning!

9. Worst case… use a supplement

A supplement is just that – an extra bonus to an already healthy lifestyle. If you are really struggling to fall asleep at night, things like melatonin or CBD oil can help get your body ready for sleep.

Last time I bought a new lip tint which was recommended to me by a friend. It's SUGAR DOLLS LIP & CHEEK TINT IN TUTTI FRUITY and I bought it for 65 pesos only. It comes with a 10 mL bottle. It has a cute font and design on its packaging and I love it!

Talking about the bottle's roller, it has a clear glass material which effectively rolls when you apply it on your lips or cheeks. I love it because as what I've noticed, there are some tint rollers which will work and roll on the first week but then will stop rolling the following weeks. So I give a thumbs up to this!

The shade which I bought was color orange. I chose this one because when applied on the skin, it will give a peachy-look and will give a natural effect. The tint itself is also organic and FDA approved; proven safe to use. It also has a sweet scent and pleasant fruity flavor.

What I love with this tint is that you can easily apply it on your lips and cheeks. It is pigmented, blendable and long lasting; it will last on your cheeks and lips for a couple of hours. The color is also vibrant, so you'll look more attractive when you use it. With that, I would give two thumbs up for its quality.

What I least like about this tint is that it gives me little chapped lips, but then, it doesn't affect the overall look on the lips.

I bought this one at Beauty MNL for Php 245.00 only. It comes in a big container so sure thing the product could last long.

I personally love the idea on their container that they added two-way protection for the product; the container cap itself plus another plastic cover which protects the product.

Since it's still a matter of days that I'm using this product, I would just give my first impression about this one and compare it to my experience on the aloe vera gel I purchased before.

I was outstanding with this Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel compared to the aloe vera gel from The Face Shop which I used before. The Face Shop Aloe Vera Gel, if you try to apply it on your face, the gel will still be gel, but this Nature Republic Aloe Vera Gel, it may come in a gel, but when you start applying it on your face or any part of your body, it somehow turns watery. With that, you'll not take too long for the product to be absorbed in your skin. It also smells so good and a refreshing feeling comes along which you'd surely love. 

What I also love about this gel is its hydrating effect. I'm using this one as a night mask, and when I wake up a hydrated skin embarks my day. I'm also using it as a moisturizer. Honestly, I could flaunt a bare face for just applying it since it makes my skin shiny or should I say moisturize. 

Another thing that I love with this product is that it's organic and no harsh chemicals were added.

When I try to compare this to the aloe vera gel I used before, I surely love this. So far, this aloe vera gel amused me. Perhaps, I'll just give my further reviews about this product once it turns one month since I use this. So keep tuning! I'll update you soonest.

If you have a morena skin, then Beige shade is best for you. If you have fair skin, Light shade would be a thumbs up.

The cream is not sticky and it is watery. It's like a baby sister of CC cream. And based on my experience, it's so light-weight when you apply it on your face and will give you an instant natural Korean skin look which is a very good thing-- glossy face in other words. It smells so good as well. So far, this BB cream didn't disappoint me. This is indeed perfect for a day-to-day basis. It's also affordable which is a great thing right?

IWhite Korea BB Holic is indeed a must-have cream. It's proof that a quality and effective beauty product can be budget-friendly too.

I would rate it 5/5 stars. But hopefully, they will add SPF for protection against the sun. So much for that, I highly recommend this to everyone who wants to have a light-weight BB cream and have that glossy skin look to use daily. But if you want to have a heavy BB cream, then this is not best for you.

Based on my experience while using this sheet, it indeed absorb oils from my face. I never thought that this affordable oil control sheet is a promising one; leaving my face matte and clean. ST. IVES FRESH SKIN APRICOT SCRUB REVIEW

I have been a busy-body earlier this year due to a lot of work to make at school. I feel so stressed and tired at the end of every day. I admit, I'm having a hard time taking care of myself these days. Plus my facial skin looks dull and haggard. 

It's when I tried ST. IVES Fresh Skin Apricot Scrub. I bought this one since I badly need to exfoliate my skin atleast twice a week. I want to remove the dead skin to have a skin that glows. I bought this one online with a price of Php 220.00.

It has natural walnut powder shell which helps in exfoliating the skin.

I heard a lot about this product. It has a lot of good reviews that I tried it now to see the result for myself. Fortunately, as I'm using this product twice a week, I could really see the nice results. It somehow removes my dead skin and makes my skin glow. This scrub cleans my pores as well oh-so-nicely! Plus I could feel the squicky clean feeling after using it. I haven't also encountered breakouts and unpleasant experiences while using the product. It indeed deeply exfoliates my skin that even my impurities just like the blackheads on my nose has lessened. And the smell... heavenly indeed! 

What I also love with this product is that it's organic and no harsh chemicals were added. It's also paraben free. A multi-awarded product which could give a smooth and soft feeling to the skin.

As far as my face is concerned, I love the effect of this product on my skin. I love how it removes gradually my impurities. 

If I were to rate this scrub, I would give 4.9/5 stars. And I highly recommend this scrub to those who wants to deeply exfoliate their skin.

Just a piece of advice, don't overdo on scrubbing the product on the face to avoid problems.

There's nothing special on the product's packaging. It's like the usual lip and cheek stain. But then, it's not just about the packaging but the product itself is the most important thing of all.

When it comes to the quality of the product, I would give two thumbs up for it indeed deliver its promises. As I tried the product, it really made my cheek and lips alive. The stain is not harsh on the lips and cheeks plus there's no bitter taste on this product. The smell is oh-so-good as well! Plus, plus, plus! It made my lips soft and made my cheeks alluring. There's just one thing I've noticed, it doesn't really stay that long on the lips. But overall, this is indeed a promising product and worth all the compliments given on other customers' review.

I would rate 4.8 stars on this product and I highly recommend it to those lip and cheek stain lovers out there! A high quality product at an affordable price.
