It’s been a hot season here in our place and it results in
making my skin looks so dry and dull. That’s why I ask my sister what to apply
on my skin to bring back its moisture. I really felt sad that time since my skin
doesn’t look so hydrated anymore. She then recommends me to try Jergens. From
that moment, I ask my father to buy me “Jergens Ultra Healing Extra Dry Skin
Moisturizer” to try. Later on, I am
going to share to you my review on this product and how does it works on my
skin.
What does this product claims?
Jergens Nourishes and heals: Jergens Ultra Healing

reveal skin that’s never looked so beautiful.
Jergens really make their product description or claims
really interesting that anyone could read it will really be curious on trying
it out. Jergens is also flaunting its Hydralucence which said to provide
longer-lasting hydration for visibly enhanced skin tone, texture and luminosity,
helps to eliminate dullness and dryness, by creating a continuous layer of
moisture on your skin to prevent hydration loss and powerfully reflect light
for more deeply luminous skin.

As you can see, there’s
nothing special with the bottle or even with the packaging design. It’s the
usual bottle wherein the opening is on the upper part. But I love the color of
the bottle since it’s like a goldy brown color. This product is 10 FL OZ or 295
mL. You can also buy smaller bottle in the market. They also have its cutest
bottle.
This product is
dermatologist tested and it’s safe to use but I will give you the ingredients
of the product for you to be aware and check if it doesn’t have unpleasing
ingredients.
INGREDIENTS. WATER, GLYCERIN, CETEARYL ALCOHOL, PETROLATUM, STEARIC
ACID, C12-15 ALKYL BENZOATE, AUMINUM STARCH OCTENYLSUCCINATE, IMETHICONE,
LAURETH-3, CETEARETH-20, DMDM HYDATON, ALLANTOIN, METHYLPARABEN, ARGININE,
SODIUM HYDROXIDE, PROPYLPARABEN, CARBOMER, FRAGRANCE, PANTHENOL, PENTYLENE
GLYCOL, LECITHIN, ALCOHOL, ASCORBYL PALMITATE, TOCOPHEROL.
What I don’t like with
the ingredients is that it’s not paraben-free since it has methylparaben and
propylparaben plus it has alcohol.
This is how the lotion
looks like:
The lotion is like the
usual color of lotion which is white. It looks non-sticky and looks like it can
be easily apply to the skin. In terms of the smell, I don’t actually understand
the smell of it. But when you will smell it, it’s mild and gentle to your nose.
It doesn’t produce that harsh smell.
Based on my experience
with this product, it may look non-sticky but when I apply in on my skin, it’s
not that easy to apply. I could also feel that sticky feeling after
application. I really don’t like the hot feeling of the lotion after applying it.
Yes, indeed it adds moisture to my skin but not totally. I used this product
from November 2016 until December 2016. I stop using it since I can’t take the
sticky feeling of the lotion anymore. I feel uncomfortable because of this
lotion. As what the product claims that it could help reveal deeply luminous,
visibly healthier skin, well, I think it didn’t make my skin that way. But I
could see that there’s quite changes on my skin. It makes shinier. What I don’t
like with this product is that it makes my skin looks darker since it doesn’t
have SPF to protect my skin from skin damage. But it’s not the lotion’s fault
anyway, it’s still my responsibility to use sunscreen since I know that it
doesn’t have SPF. Before I forgot, I also like this lotion since it has
Vitamins C, E and B5 which adds a great help to the skin.
Overall, I didn’t regret
on trying this product since it still adds positive impact on my skin, there
are just reasons that I don’t like with it. I will still give 2 thumbs up with
this product.
Would I repurchase it?
Probably, no.
Would I recommend it? Yes
of course. I will recommend this lotion to people who are suffering from skin
dryness. We have different types of skin, so the results on me may not be the
same as yours. To see is to believe, right? So, trying it out is a good thing.
Jergens brand is really a
nice lotion to try. It’s just that the lotion above doesn’t fit on my skin. I
am very much willing to try other variants of Jergens lotion. And see it in
myself if it works well.
