Betadine, also known as Povidone Iodine, is a 10% solution used to disinfect wound to avoid irritation and to heal the wound fast. It is a non-irritating antiseptic which works by releasing iodine to the skin to kill bacteria, fungi and even viruses around the skin surface.
I know this may sound weird, but Betadine might just be the miracle solution to help eliminate the annoying pimples on your face.
Betadine price may vary depending on the mL that you'll buy. It may vary from Php 60.00 to 200+.
I, myself, have experienced breakouts and I can't deny the fact that it's uncomfortable seeing those red bumps on the face and it could lessen our self confidence. It's also a bit painful sometimes.
That's when I saw this Betadine in our First Aid Kit and wonder if it might help in my pimple problem. I've been using Betadine for a couple of months now whenever I notice pimple again on my face. I even influence one of my colleagues to try this and it's also helping her pimple problem.
How to apply Betadine on pimples?
Wash your face first and hands first. It's important not to defeat the purpose of getting rid the bacteria. Next step is to use a clean cotton and put the Betadine solution in it. Then dab the Betadine around your pimples which are bothering you. Lastly, leave it overnight.
Do the same process in the morning or at night depending on your preference.
The Betadine solution will help in healing the infection on the surface, allowing the pimples to heal without leaving a scar.
Tip: Never pop your pimples for it has thousands of bacteria inside and it might lead to further problems if you allow those bacterias to set in your skin. It could even leave a scar if you do.
